What does a guided fishing trip consist of?
A full day trip can last anywhere from eight to ten hours. We will meet at the boat ramp at a predetermined time, where we will launch on the river closest to the best fishing grounds. We will relocate/float throughout the day, concentrating our efforts on the best performing fishing holes. On good fishing days, trips can be intense and fast-paced, making the decision of which fish to keep a difficult one.
What happens if I catch a fish?
If you catch a fish that we determine is within the regulations to keep, we will retain the fish and snap a photo, which we will later provide to you. At the end of the day, your guide will help you clean and filet the fish (if desired), sending you home with your catch.
What are some general safety rules on the boat?
All members of our fishing party will have access to a life jacket/personal floatation device. You’re encouraged to wear the life jacket for your own protection. At the beginning of each fishing trip, your guide will provide a short orientation about boat safety while on the water.
Can children come along on the trip?
Children aged six years and older are permitted to come, as long as they are accompanied by their parent or guardian. Children must wear a life jacket at all times. Parties need to notify the guide in advance to make accommodations for children. The behavior of any children is the responsibility of their respective parents.
What kind of boat will the guide use?
The guide has a 20’ Rogue Marine aluminum power boat with a 175 Mercury outboard motor and a 17’ Clackacraft drift boat. Both boats are consistently maintained for passenger safety and trip performance.
How many people can I take on a trip?
During winter steelhead or Spring Chinook trips, when the guide is floating using a drift boat, there are only two spots per trip. However, on all other trips using the power boat, there are four seats in addition to the guide. We offer discounts for group trips.

Can I cancel my reserved trip?
Cancellations must be received within 48 hours to be eligible for a full refund less merchant fees (typically 2-4% of the credit card charge).
What’s your policy on tobacco and alcohol products?
The guide prefers that you leave these products at home. If, however, you wish to use these items, be mindful of proper etiquette in regards to other passengers. Responsible usage of alcohol or tobacco is perfectly legal and is acceptable if it doesn’t interfere with the quality of the trip.
